Sexually active by 4 months of age.
DIET
Insects, fruits, seeds, leaves and occasionally small mammals and lizards.
- Resembles squirrels in appearance and size.
- Soft and dense fur ranges in colour from grey to green with whitish or dark chestnut bellies.
- Toe is not opposable.
- Tail has long hair.
- Lives mainly on the ground and builds nests among tree roots and fallen trunk.
- They live in pairs.
