Tim King and Mountain View Conservation Society (MVCS) are offering an opportunity to win a free week at Tim King's Video Camp! Simply write your essay and submit it by e-mail to visit@mtnviewconservation.org. Make sure that ESSAY is in the subject line of the e-mail.  There will be winners chosen from each of the categories "Age 8-12" and "Teen" in both of the months of July and August. Each winner will receive one free week at the video camp. Get your entry in early.

tim king's summer photoGRAPHY AND VIDEO camp for YOUTH NOW being offered.

Tim King, the official photographer of Mountain View Conservation Society (MVCS) and Cinemazoo, will be teaching a series of 1-week courses in animal photography and videography throughout the summer. The programs will teach entry level photographic & video skills used to capture great images of the fascinating creatures of Cinemazoo and the endangered species at the MVCS in Fort Langley, BC.
Geared for age range 8 - 12 years and teens.

year of the frog event

On Tuesday, April 22, 2008 we held our first prep day for the up-coming Spotted Frog Release. Members of the public and media joined us to observe and speak with Government biologists as they counted, measured and tagged the Spotted Frogs in preparation for release in May. Mountain View’s Project Manager, also hosted an educational 'behind the scenes' experience, highlighting this years’ program and goals.

Fort Langley's Historic half marathon

Mountain View was once again happy to open our gates to the energetic participants of the 3rd Annual Historic Half Marathon.  Over a thousand people ran, jogged and walked through our facility on that sunny cold morning. A team of hardy volunteers passed out water and Gatorade, and words of encouragement as they passed. After the event, Mitchell Hudson, President of Tri-Events, presented Mountain View with a donation cheque of $6,500.00 to help with our conservation programs.
